Appropriate Business Attire For Women in a Modern Casual Environment

With the major changes in business attire in the work place, women are getting a greater range of clothing that they are allowed to wear to work. Although this is a very good thing, it is easy to tote the line when it comes to what clothing you can wear in a business casual environment. The following questions should be considered before you wear these clothes to work. If the answer is "no" then you should not wear them to work.

Does your outfit include sandals?
Is your skirt longer than the edge of your fingertips when you hold your arms straight down?
Does your outfit show less than 1 inch of cleavage?
Is there another woman in the office who wears less casual clothes than you?
Are jeans appropriate in your workplace?
Is your midriff covered?

These are some basic questions that can help although they are not even close to all inclusive. Make sure that you take a good look at what the other women in your office are wearing. In terms of conservativeness and style, try to pick something that is the average of what women in your workplace wear. You do not want to be the most formal, but you also do not want to be the most causal. Pick some middle ground. If you are looking for a promotion into management, then it is okay to dress a bit more formal than others in your department because it will let people know that you have ambition.

Although the acceptance of more causal clothing in the work place is a huge benefit, it also comes with some level of responsibility. Make sure that you always are up to date with your company's dress code policy and always adhere to all the rules within the spirit of the rules themselves. Rather than just using an excuse that sandals are not within the companies policy, look what other rules are in the policy to see if the other rules show a causal or a formal business culture.

Dry Shampoo and How to Use It

I wanted to talk a little about Dry Shampoos, not only because there is an influx of new products out there in the stores but also because I am about to launch my very own! Yippee, I've been working on it for over a year!

Anyway, Dry Shampoos used to be known as the stuff your mum would buy to make her hairstyle last a bit longer, with very white powdery sprays that not only is left on the head for all to see but the smell of it used to practically gas you out when sprayed!

But now, they have been re-vamped and have a brand new reputation as one of the 'must haves' in hair products. The new products not only absorb oils but also give the hair alot more body and thickness. Ideal for use on fine thin greasy hair. It leaves the hair with a rougher feel so the hair is more malleable.

They come in powder or spray form. The sprays are easier to use on full heads of hair whereas the powder ones are used to concentrate on particular areas. Both should do the same thing, although personally I find the sprays a little bit more sticky in feel.

Reasons for use:

Greasy flat fringes - the powder will absorb the excess oils in the fringe and parting area to give it an edgier rougher look instead of the shiny flat look. Best to apply the powder onto your fingers or lightly sprinkle onto the roots and rub it into the the hair, don't forget the very front where it falls onto your skin. (This is usually the worst part)

Updos - The Dry Shampoo is fantastic for use on 'updos' When the hair is too clean and shiny the hair doesn't hold very well so with the more powdery texture that the dry shampoo gives, the style will hold better and look more matte and less lacquered looking.

To add more body and oomph - sprinkle/spray dry shampoo all over the roots to give yourself fuller bigger hair. Brush or fluff it out after 5mins when the oils have absorbed.

Try not to overdo the application as the result can be too white or too chalky but if you do happen to overdo it, spritz it with a light misting of water to get rid of the white look.

I am extremely excited to announce the launch of my own dry shampoo, JuJu Chan's 'Texture' in both light and dark shades to cover every hair type and color. I love it and use it every day and hopefully you will too! Keep an eye on this blog and find it on my SHOP page very soon!

In addition to being the latest trend, extensions serve many purposes like adding fullness to your own hair or adding length. Remy has been handled with the utmost care. From African to Hispanic to Caucasian, Remy can blend well with all varieties of hair.

Virgin Indian Remy hair is the most popular variety, which can easily blend with women of various cultural backgrounds. Single drawn extensions are ones, which have varying lengths as they grow naturally from the head. Apart from Indian Remy, virgin hair from Brazil and Europe are also very good for wigs and extensions. A make over can completely transform your personality.

Virgin Remy extensions are naturally stronger than the non-virgin ones. And it is 100% natural. The cuticle of each strand is kept in alignment to prevent tangling.

If you would like to enhance your appearance, and boost your confidence then Virgin Remy is the way to go. Some of the basic textures of virgin Remy hair weave or extensions include straight extensions, wavy extensions and curly extensions.

Indian Remy

Hair extensions keep the cuticles live and intact. It maintains a natural healthy glow. This is the least expensive type of hair, but it's also the lowest quality of hair as well since the cuticles are in various directions and therefore it is prone to tangling, knotting and matting. Knotting is a problem as a result of this, but still since they are inexpensive, they are the biggest selling form of hair in the world. This type of non Remy hair is obtained by shaving off the cuticles. This procedure reduces the chances of friction among hairs and what remains is tangle free hair. Out of all the possible varieties, Remy hair is the highest quality. There are two main types of Non-Remy hair.

A Story of a Woman, a Bar and Her Shoes

When it comes to a night out on the town at a bar or nightclub, shoes are a girl's best friend. Sure, they give us added height, make us feel like we've just stepped off the catwalk and we almost always look fantastic in them, but just what are our sky high Jimmy Choo's doing to our feet? Its long been told that high heals are bad for our backs and posture. Come on, we've all heard the research, but here, I give another perspective on how your stilettos can affect you.

Whenever I head out to a bar or nightclub, my choice of footwear is one of the most important things. For me personally, heals really aren't an option. To put it very simply, I'm a total clutz. I couldn't walk in a straight line if I tried, and that's without alcohol! Apart from that, pain sets in after wearing them for even just an hour and when ever I do wear them; my friends end up hating me because I complain endlessly.

I will never forget this one time I actually did wear some very hot high shoes to a classy bar. Let me tell you, I'll never do it again. They were gorgeous; black, pointy, leather with gold velvet trimming over the toe. I picked them up at a designer sale one afternoon for $150. I just had to have them even if I only put them on for a few minutes each weekend around the house. Come on, the price was amazing! These discounted shoes became my worse nightmare.

Teamed with a beautiful black dress, I headed out with my greatest group of girlfriends. We decided to do a bar crawl that evening and all the walking from nightclub to nightclub in those evil shoes did me serious damage. Throughout the night I could feel the sides of my shoes cutting into my ankles, almost like my gorgeous heals were slowly eating away at my feet. I knew if I took them off I'd never get them back on so I put up with the pain for the rest of the night. The pain in my heal was sharp, I could feel a warm, moist sensation dripping around my ankle which I knew would be blood seeping from my foot, but I kept drinking more in a bid to numb the pain and fought back the tears and tried to ignore the feeling of nausea.

When I could put up with the stinging, throbbing sensation no longer, I headed home and ripped those horrible shoes off. I knew the damage was bad when my friends all gushed and screamed at the sight of my cut, blistered and bleeding feet. I put my legs in a bucket of hot water with salt to clean the wounds and when I went to the doctors the next morning, I was placed on antibiotics. Dramatic cause of action I know, but my once very beautiful, discounted shoes had given me a really bad internal infection.

Two weeks later and I was given the all clear, but boy was that a painful recovery! While the cuts and blisters have mended themselves, I'll forever have a scar along the back of my ankle - a constant reminder not to be silly and wear shoes I know are bad for me. I've kept the shoes though. You'll find them in the back of my wardrobe somewhere and you can be 100% sure the next time I'm considering what to wear to a bar or nightclub... these high heals won't be it.

No Sun, No Booth, No Problem, Spray Tan is Today's Way to Combat Traditional Tanning Problems

As if the dangers of tanning nowadays isn't bad enough; both sunlight and tanning beds, now we have a new tax on tanning beds coming our way. It's time to revise our methods. The hottest new phase in tanning is the spray tan. It's simple to do, and in the comfort of our own homes, rather than going to a salon and having a total stranger seeing us in the 'buff'. All you need is the right one for you.

There are many on the market, and more to come, but as with everything, there are good and bad with the spray tanners, as well. Once you set your sights on the one that suits you, it's just a matter of a few moments of time, and a few simple, but important steps. First, shower. During your shower, while your skin is moist and soft, that's when you exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate. Especially around your knees, elbows, ankles, heels, tops of toes; anywhere you might have more dry skin. You can use something as simple as the dollar bath gloves. They are in every dollar store and they work great. Lather them up with your favorite soap or body scrub and gently exfoliate your skin. Also, it's important to make sure your legs and any areas that you use your spray tan, are freshly shaved. This, plus the shower, will get your skin silky soft and fully prepared for your tan. Once your shower and exfoliation are complete, then make sure to dry off really well.

The best way to apply your spray tan is with latex gloves and a cotton glove. The latex gloves that come with home hair-coloring kits are perfect and can also be purchased for a low price at beauty supply stores, pharmacies and some department stores. VERY important to use this procedure as you don't want your palms to come out 'golden bronze'. This will definitely ruin your chances at a beautiful tan, as palms do NOT tan normally. Okay, so you've got the latex gloves on, and your cotton glove (even an old cotton sock will work), then you can begin your spray tan. I like to start with my face and work my way down. Make sure your hair is off your face and lightly spray your skin with the product; then using the gloved hand, gently begin to rub the spray tan into your skin. Do this all over; wherever you want your tan. Make sure not to miss under your neck and under your arms. Once you're satisfied, and all areas you want to tan have been completed, then just wait for roughly 15 minutes before getting dressed to give the product time to dry. Some spray tanners work immediately; others may take several hours to overnight to fully 'tan' the skin.

Now, safely, quickly, and extremely cost effective, you will have a beautiful, even tan; without the dangers of skin cancers and aging of your skin. After all, a natural tan simply means that your skin has been damaged. Spray tans are the way to go! Visit http://www.spraytansinfo.com, the webs most complete Spray Tan information site.
