As if the dangers of tanning nowadays isn't bad enough; both sunlight and tanning beds, now we have a new tax on tanning beds coming our way. It's time to revise our methods. The hottest new phase in tanning is the spray tan. It's simple to do, and in the comfort of our own homes, rather than going to a salon and having a total stranger seeing us in the 'buff'. All you need is the right one for you.
There are many on the market, and more to come, but as with everything, there are good and bad with the spray tanners, as well. Once you set your sights on the one that suits you, it's just a matter of a few moments of time, and a few simple, but important steps. First, shower. During your shower, while your skin is moist and soft, that's when you exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate. Especially around your knees, elbows, ankles, heels, tops of toes; anywhere you might have more dry skin. You can use something as simple as the dollar bath gloves. They are in every dollar store and they work great. Lather them up with your favorite soap or body scrub and gently exfoliate your skin. Also, it's important to make sure your legs and any areas that you use your spray tan, are freshly shaved. This, plus the shower, will get your skin silky soft and fully prepared for your tan. Once your shower and exfoliation are complete, then make sure to dry off really well.
The best way to apply your spray tan is with latex gloves and a cotton glove. The latex gloves that come with home hair-coloring kits are perfect and can also be purchased for a low price at beauty supply stores, pharmacies and some department stores. VERY important to use this procedure as you don't want your palms to come out 'golden bronze'. This will definitely ruin your chances at a beautiful tan, as palms do NOT tan normally. Okay, so you've got the latex gloves on, and your cotton glove (even an old cotton sock will work), then you can begin your spray tan. I like to start with my face and work my way down. Make sure your hair is off your face and lightly spray your skin with the product; then using the gloved hand, gently begin to rub the spray tan into your skin. Do this all over; wherever you want your tan. Make sure not to miss under your neck and under your arms. Once you're satisfied, and all areas you want to tan have been completed, then just wait for roughly 15 minutes before getting dressed to give the product time to dry. Some spray tanners work immediately; others may take several hours to overnight to fully 'tan' the skin.
Now, safely, quickly, and extremely cost effective, you will have a beautiful, even tan; without the dangers of skin cancers and aging of your skin. After all, a natural tan simply means that your skin has been damaged. Spray tans are the way to go! Visit http://www.spraytansinfo.com, the webs most complete Spray Tan information site.
